The town of Amo is located within Clay Township in Hendricks County Indiana. The Town's name comes from the Latin word 'I Love' and was established in 1850. The town of Amo has a Police Department, Fire Protection and Ambulance Services, as well as an Interurban Building that includes a reading room for the community.
A Capital Improvement Plan establishes, prioritizes, and plans funding for projects to improve existing facilities and to help the Town develop new ones. This plan promotes better use of the Town's financial resources, reduces cost, and assists in the coordination of public and private development.
